After losing its market share to Android and iPhone in the smartphone space, Nokia has finally launched a mid-market phone series that is aimed for the price conscious Indian consumer who doesn’t want any fancy features that are offered in the other smartphones. Read on as we present you hands on review of this phone.
Nokia Asha series of phones have two main models i.e. Asha 200 and Asha 300. This is the first QWERTY keypad phone that has a dual SIM feature from Nokia. The Nokia Asha 200 has a 2.4 inch QVGA screen with 320X240 pixels. The phone has a rear 2 Mega Pixel camera along with a number of multiple connectivity options like GPRS, EDGE and Social Networking options. The phone comes preloaded with the Facebook and Twitter applications so that you can get connected to your friends anytime and anywhere.
The internal memory of the phone is about 10 MB which can be easily expanded to 32 GB. The dual SIM option can support two GSM connections at a time. The SIMS can be swapped easily without the need of rebooting the phone. Some of the other features of this phone include FM Recording, Long Battery Life which can last up to 52 hours, Bluetooth, MP3 music playback and much more. The phone is preloaded with the Angry Birds game which you can enjoy anytime. This phone is backed by the PCSuite which is the central point from where you can download the app from the Ovi Store.
Some of the features that we liked about the phone is the well placement of the Qwerty keypad and long battery life. The dual SIM can be used easily to support up to 5 SIMs at a time using the dual standby. This phone is social media ready which is another plus point of this phone that we liked the most.
But the thing that we hated about this phone is that there is no support for 3G or Wi-Fi support and we also don’t liked the limited internal memory of the phone which is 10 MB.
